Synopsis : 13-year-old Nelson lives alone with his mother in a poor district of Douala, Cameroon’s commercial capital. Out of poverty, he left school and now follows a carpenter formation.

While delivering a dress to one of his mother’s customer, he meets Josephine, a young girl of the same age. She is a pupil in a private school in the town. They find themselves a common passion: writing. Nelson writes his songs between Slam and Rap and sings them with his friend Turbo, for whom music is a way to escape poverty.

Seduced by Josephine, Nelson decides to go back to school and pass his entry exam for the 3rd grade. But he will have to fight his condition and fate to find the money he needs for school and thus stay with his new friend.
