Biography :Caroline Deruas’ passion for cinema started very early with the discovery of François Truffaut’s and Marco Bellocchio’s films. She had multiple experiences on film sets and after two super8 film essays she directed "The Star Fish" her first produced short-film. She became second assistant director and worked on Philippe Garrel’s films "Le vent de la nuit" and "Sauvage innocence". In "Les amants réguliers" she plays the role of Léa and she’s then again second assistant on the film "Actrices" by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi. Her first feature film "Les enfants de la nuit" is currently in development and Caroline is, at the moment, co-writing Philippe Garrel’s new screenplay. She has co-written "J’ai gardé les anges" next Phillippe Garrel’s film, which will be filming in spring 2010. She has also worked as script on Romain Goupil’s new film and has just played Juliette in João Nicolau’s first portuguese feature film.
